Our very first 5k run was held in the Myakka State Park this past weekend. Everyone had a wonderful time, enjoyed a beautiful day, and said they can't wait until next year when we do it again! We had over 100 participants!

We are neighbors helping neighbors! This is a time honored tradition of Myakka City residents- We are there when others are in need. Please make this the month that you will become a member. Remember this will help us when we are applying for grants. They will want to see that our own community also supports us, and the way this is done is through our membership numbers!

To those that are in need of our help, OUR APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE link is the second one down at the top left. Once you are on that page, just click the "Application for Assistance" button. Please print these pages, fill them out completely and mail them to the PO Box above. Our Board will then review them, and then contact you.

Please join us at our meetings! Everyone is welcome! 6:00 pm at Myakka Fire Station 2 on SR 70. Come see good things happening in our community. Times are hard and there are those in genuine need of help. We can make a difference, we are "Neighbors helping Neighbors!"
